Dr. Kelsey Tangel is a board certified acupuncturist and herbalist, and holds a licence to practice in New York State. She attended Bucknell University as an Arts Merit Scholar, receiving a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Dance. Her belief in the mind-body connection, fascination with human biology, and love for serving others, lead her to become an acupuncturist and herbalist. She received her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. She specializes in women’s health and fertility, acute and chronic pain management, digestive issues, headaches/migraines and anxiety.
Kelsey meets her patients where they’re at, providing evidence-based, compassionate care that aims to empower them to take ownership of their health and well-being. She constructs thoughtful treatment plans with clear goals for each patient that utilize life-style and dietary recommendations. She is passionate about integrative healthcare and works closely with Western Medical Doctors to manage patient cases. At Yinova, Kelsey combines her knowledge of Assisted Reproductive Technology with her expertise in treating gynecological issues using Chinese Medicine, to navigate complex fertility cases including, but not limited to, endometriosis, PCOS, premature menopause, recurrent miscarriage, amenorrhea, and IVF/IUI support.
Kelsey is also a yoga instructor and has taught in New York City, Chicago and Hong Kong. Her yoga practice informs how she cares for her patients, and her intention is to provide a safe space for healing. In her spare time, she enjoys riding her bike, exploring the restaurant scene with her husband, reading literary fiction, hiking, making soup and planning her next travel adventure.
