First Visit

Each patient’s unique pattern of symptoms requires an individual solution.

The Intake

We get to know you inside and out

During your initial consultation, your practitioner will go over your health history in depth. Your initial consultation can be done virtually or in-clinic. We encourage you to share any labs or any blood work that may be relevant during your initial consultation.

The Treatment

We create a customized treatment for you, using a range of Chinese medicinal therapies. Acupuncture and other modalities including moxa, gua sha, cupping and massage may be used. Herbs may also be paired with acupuncture to enhance your treatment.

You will leave your first visit with a clear plan forward

We create your treatment plan to maximize both effectiveness and time. Some questions you may have for us

Prices for acupuncture, virtual consultations, and bodywork range between $85-$250. Our initial virtual consultation is $150, and your first in-clinic acupuncture treatment is $50. At this time, we are requiring all new patients to book an initial virtual consultation first prior to their first in-clinic acupuncture treatment. Contact appointments@yinova.com to schedule your virtual consultation, followed by your in-clinic treatment.

Yes, we do! Our Starter Pack includes your initial consultation & first treatment + one additional treatment, for $300. We also offer memberships; you can learn more both packages and memberships here.

Here at Yinova, we have given this much thought and are committed to reopening our clinic safely, for those who need acupuncture treatments. We will continue to offer virtual herbal and wellness consultations, while seeing some patients in-person. In order to open safely, we have created new policies and procedures both for our clinical team and our patients, which you can read about here

Absolutely! You can also see a different practitioner each week if that works better with your schedule. The Yinova team works  collaboratively, so any practitioner you see will have access to your chart and will be fully informed about your case, enabling them to provide you with continuity of care.

Most  of our patients see us weekly; however, each case is unique. Your practitioner will craft a clear treatment plan for you and will tell you how often you should have treatment. Everyone responds to treatment differently so your results will depend on your particular situation. There are certain issues that can be addressed in a visit or two; other cases might require more treatments until your goal is met. Your practitioner will be able to guide you on the results you can expect.  Often, patients will notice relief from a specific symptom straight away, though we may need more time to work on the underlying root of the issue.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let the Front Desk know as soon as you can by phone or by emailing appointments@yinova.com. We do have a 24-hour cancellation policy, so appointments altered within 24 hours of the scheduled treatment time will result in a fee.

We do not process insurance in-house; however, we are happy to provide you with a receipt that has the necessary coding for you to submit to your provider. We recommend checking with your insurance company to see if you are covered for acupuncture and, if so, what specific conditions your insurance company covers acupuncture for.
