When it comes to fertility, there is no one-size-fits-all solution, which is why we tailor each treatment to the individual. By costuming herbs and treatments to your unique constitution, we’re able to effect change. How does it work? Put simply, the acupuncture increases blood flow to the ovaries and the uterus to support a healthy ovarian follicle and uterine lining. It also decreases inflammation and corrects subtle hormone imbalances. The Chinese herbs are used to support a woman’s natural rhythms and to address complex disorders.

Frequently Asked Questions
We always keep groups small to ensure everyone has enough time to speak about their experiences and ask questions. While numbers vary from group to group, you can expect between 5-10 people in your group.
Over the course of the group, you will cover a ride range of subjects! Here are a few: fertility basics, your fertility type, understanding you cycle (how to use an OPK, how to read your BBT chart, etc.), cervical health, male infertility, how Assisted Reproductive Techniques can help, Nutrition and dietary advice, lifestyle guidance, and more. Plus, there will be guest speakers throughout from Reproductive Endocrinologists to Licensed Clinical Social Workers and more.
Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years in Asia to boost fertility and address the kinds of medical problems that prevent a couple from conceiving. Recently it has become a popular adjunctive treatment to IVF after studies have shown that it can increase the efficacy of IVF by 50%.
At Yinova we use Chinese medicine to treat fertility-related problems such as PCOS, endometriosis, luteal phase defect, irregular cycles, and amenorrhea. We also support thousands of women a year as they go through IVF and other assisted reproductive techniques. Why does it work? The acupuncture increases blood flow to the ovaries and the uterus to support a healthy ovarian follicle and uterine lining. It also decreases inflammation and corrects subtle hormone imbalances. The Chinese herbs are used to support a woman’s natural rhythms and to address complex disorders.
It is said that 1 in 8 couples struggle to get pregnant. Many of our patients are surprised to hear that, as it’s far more common then they may have previously thought. In our experience, infertility does not necessarily mean that you will be unable to conceive. Oftentimes, there are a few smaller issues that prevent conception, which acupuncture and herbs can help to correct. You can use Chinese medicine on its own or in conjunction with Assisted Reproductive Technologies.
In our experience, “infertility” is vastly broad diagnosis that many of our patients receive from their doctors. While it may be tricker to get pregnant, oftentimes it is not impossible. Even gently addressing hormone imbalances through acupuncture and herbs & making subtle lifestyle changes can have a huge positive impact. Here’s a story about a patient who was told she had a less that 1% chance of conceive, and how we helped her have a baby.
Most of our patients see us weekly; however, each case is unique. Your practitioner will craft a clear treatment plan for you and will tell you how often you should have treatment. Everyone responds to treatment differently so your results will depend on your particular situation. There are certain issues that can be addressed in a visit or two; other cases might require more treatments until your goal is met. Your practitioner will be able to guide you on the results you can expect. Often, patients will notice relief from a specific symptom straight away, though we may need more time to work on the underlying root of the issue.
