Steam your way to a quick and healthy meal

You’d think being so passionate about eating healthy, I’d cook elaborate meals for myself and my husband-to-be, fancy concoctions that take hours to make. But, let’s get real – I’m a New Yorker. I’m always running around, never sitting still. When I get home, I want to eat! Sure, spending hours in the kitchen can be a lovely meditative process but sometimes, you just don’t have the time…Instead, we implement some shortcuts without sacrificing our healthy diets.

I plan to share all sorts of healthy tips and suggestions but one of my favorites is our Deni steamer. Seriously, at under $75, it’ll be one of your best kitchen purchases of all time! It’s a vital appliance for a healthy kitchen.With it, your entire meal is ready in under 15 minutes! A multi-tiered steamer, the Deni allows you to steam organic veggies and a protein of choice all at one time. Some of our favorite choices: Broccoli and brussels sprouts on the bottom, zucchini and mushrooms in the middle with shrimp and scallops on the top tier. It’s all steamed and then you can add herbs or soy sauce (Bragg’s Amino Acids is a personal favorite) or whatever flavor you’d enjoy. Did I mention you can steam rice and hardboil eggs in it as well?
