I have always loved fall. I look forward to it each year, not because it draws us closer to another frigid New York winter (let us hope not as brutal as our last), but because it so often feels, for me, to be an opportunity to start anew and afresh, with an open mind and heart to new opportunities and possibilities, even more so than the making of resolutions in celebration of a new year.

When I think of this time of year, and now prepare for its coming, a few words come to mind, once written by T.S. Eliot, related to the “newness” of the calendar year that seems just as apropos in speaking of the new season we are about to enter.  He writes, “for last year’s words belong to last year’s language and next year’s words await another voice.” It seems to me that as fall now approaches, we have a similar opportunity to create a new voice, consider new meanings to our experiences, and, I would argue, hear new perspectives that help us to grow and learn.

In the spirit of Eliot’s words, and the season that is approaching, I hope that for those of you who have been struggling with infertility, you will consider coming to a new cycle of the YinOva Center fertility support and resource group, where there are opportunities, each week, to find solace and support in sharing your own voice and hearing the voices of those experiencing a similar struggle. As I have mentioned in past blog entries, the group is one in which women who are struggling with infertility can come together to share their experiences, support and learn from each other, share resources, and above all, offer each other hope as well as new perspectives.

A new 6-week cycle of the group begins on Monday, September 8th, at 6:30PM. Please refer to my previous blogs for further information, or feel free to reach out to me directly to hear more and/or sign-up. We would love to have you join us.
