Kimmel is the Director of Operations at Yinova, working directly for the CEO helping to lead non-clinical operations for the center. After receiving her Masters degree from Ohio University, Kimmel has spent her career dedicated to leading management and operations in the fitness and wellness industry. In her spare time, you can find her teaching Pilates and volunteering for nonprofits dedicated to ending homelessness for those displaced by violence.
Cara Burian holds a Bachelor’s in Holistic Nutrition and is certified in Holistic Health Counseling.
As the Communications Coordinator and Physician Liaison, Cara loves forming relationships that educate, support, and grow the Yinova community. She works directly with the Director of Marketing to maintain our social media presence (Instagram | Facebook | Pinterest), edit the Yinova blog, and produce our newsletters. She manages partnership relations, plans events, and chats about Chinese medicine to whomever will listen.

Bobbea is a born and bred New Yorker with a passion for acupuncture, language, and travel. During her last yoga retreat in Asia, she fell in love with eastern medicine and has redirected her major from Nursing to Traditional Chinese Medicine. After graduating from PCOM with her doctorate, she’ll be able to apply her knowledge and skill set of acupuncture and herbs to help people heal, grow, and embrace their own health. Until then, she helps us keep our clinics running gracefully.
Liz is the Chief Executive Officer of Yinova, leading non-clinical operations, strategy and growth. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard, and received her MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. Liz has spent her career leading strategy, new business evaluation and growth for premium consumer brands. She was most recently the VP of Business Development for Equinox Fitness Clubs. Prior to Equinox, Liz was the Director of Corporate Strategy for Gap Inc, and a Project Leader with the Boston Consulting Group.
After graduating from Florida State University with a degree in English, Chris Farrell moved to New York to start a punk rock band. Learning bookkeeping to support himself, he worked with all sorts of small businesses, eventually coming to Yinova as a consultant. Given the chance to join Yinova full time, he is delighted to use his skills as a number-cruncher helping the team make positive change in the lives of our patients. In his spare time, he still makes music with his band, A Vanishing Breed, and writes about the arts for the BKLYNER blog.
Emma Thake is a graduate of Bard College where she studied Cultural Anthropology with an emphasis on society’s changing perceptions of the body and it’s political implication.
As Yinova’s Director of Marketing & Media, Emma loves finding new ways to build the Yinova community and help everyone associated with Yinova stay connected. She focuses her time on informing patients and press alike on the benefits of acupuncture and Chinese medicine and loves being able to empower people with information about their bodies and their health. Emma oversees our information-rich website, maintains our social media presence (Instagram | Facebook | Pinterest), edits the Yinova blog, and produces our newsletters. She also manages our patient relations, talks to the press, organizes our speaker’s series, and handles events.
