Dr. Alexandra Garcia is a nationally board licensed doctor of acupuncture and Chinese medicine. Alexandra supports her clients using an integrative approach that weaves together a variety of modalities including acupuncture, cupping, herbal formulations, bodywork, and dietary guidance.
Her interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine evolved out of her undergraduate studies in neuropsychology and ethnobotany at Middlebury College. She earned her doctoral degree at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, and completed a year-long postgraduate training at NYU Langone – Brooklyn.
Alexandra is passionate about helping people in their path to parenthood – from conception to the postpartum period. With the first hand experience of the emotional ups and downs of her own journey to starting a family with her wife, she hopes to be able to share with others the sense of empowerment gained by understanding your body and your choices.
When she’s not at YinOva, you can find her back at NYU Langone – Brooklyn in the Neurology and Labor & Delivery departments where she now assists in the clinical training of masters and doctoral students.
