The Cambodian Children’s Fund
If we have no peace it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other. —Mother Teresa
If we are to teach real peace in the world, if we are to carry on a real war against war, we shall have to begin with children.
— Gandhi
At The YinOva Center we are proud to sponsor a child at The Cambodian Children’s Fund. Her name is Kunthea and she is eight years old. She lived with her mom and grandparents in a small shack on the Steung Meanchy garbage dump in Phnom Peng. She helped her mom picking through the garbage to earn enough to eat.
Last year she was awarded a place at the CCF. She goes to school at CCF and lives there although she goes home every evening to see her family. Thanks to the wonderful people at CCF she is getting good nutrition, healthcare and an education that will help her provide for herself when she grows up.
